Troll's Eye View - Multiple Authors

Summary:(from book jacket) Everyone thinks they know the real story behind the villains in fairy tales- evil, no two ways about it. But the villains themselves beg to differ. In this book you'll hear from: the Giant's wife from Jack and the beanstalk, the oldest of the twelve dancing princesses, Rumpelstiltskin, the witch from "Hansel and Gretel" and someone called evil Cinderella. Just watch these old stories do new tricks.
Review: This is a book of short stories of fairy tale retelling giving the villains perspective on a traditional story. Considering the fact that I love these types of stories i didn't enjoy this book as much as I thought I would. This is mostly because I didn't know a lot of the stories that were being retold and that kind of takes away from it. That being said my favorite story was A Delicate Architecture by Catherynne M. Valente. It really was an awesome story following the life of a traditional villain which i thought some of the other stories were lacking. I don't really have much else to say about this book. if you love fairy tale retelling you will probably enjoy this book.
