Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

This review may contain spoilers if you haven't read Hush, Hush.
Summary:(from book jacket). Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever(if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar. Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude,Nora finds herself drawn to him- despite her lingering feeling that he is hiding something. If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything- and everyone- she trusts.
Review: This book was really good. There were a lot of unexpected plot twists that happened throughout the book. At the same time, it wasn't really an action packed fast paced plot. Patch's distance and Nora's search for the truth about her father's death lead to some interesting surprises. I never felt like the plot was slow to the point of being boring. I did feel like I needed to go back and refresh my memory on some of the angel terminology. I liked this book as much as Hush, Hush. This series is really good and different from most other series., at least that I've read.
I really like Nora as a character. She is a character that readers can relate to. She's smart and down to earth. She's in love with Patch but it didn't come across as being ridiculous. I think she is my favorite character in the series. Of course, Patch isn't far behind. All of the characters in the series have developed really well and I don't think there were any that turned me off.
The end of the book was really good but it ended at a slight cliffhanger. I say slight because although the ending was surprising and sudden it's not all that difficult to imagine what's going to happen next. But who knows I could be surprised again. i reccomend this series to anyone who wants to read a good paranromal romance.
